1. Introduction

Bar W Bahr ("Bar W Bahr," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Bar W Bahr mobile application (the "App"), a digital marketplace that allows users in the State of Kuwait to buy and sell land- and sea-related products such as boats, camping gear, vehicles, tires, diving equipment, electronics, and garden items.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use and share that information, and the choices and rights available to you. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.

• Device & usage data — device model, operating system, app version, language, and general usage/diagnostic information generated while you use the App.
• Push notification token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver notifications about your listings, account activity, and offers.
• Locally stored data — session tokens and app preferences stored securely on your device to keep you signed in and remember your settings.

We do not access your device's precise GPS location. The App does not request location permissions.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account, and verify your identity via OTP or third-party sign-in
• Publish, display, and manage your listings, including boosted and promoted listings
• Process payments for listing, boost, and promotional fees
• Send you service notifications (listing approvals, expirations, account activity, security alerts) and, where permitted, promotional notifications
• Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries
• Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the App, including preventing fraud and misuse
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations of the State of Kuwait

4. Sign-In With Google & Apple

If you choose to register or log in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, and a unique identifier — to create and authenticate your Bar W Bahr account. We do not receive your Google or Apple account password. Your use of these sign-in methods is also subject to Google's and Apple's own privacy policies.

5. Payments

Payments for listing fees, boosts, and promotions are processed through licensed third-party payment gateways, including MyFatoorah, Tap, and Upayments. When you make a payment, your card and billing details are entered directly into the gateway's secure checkout and are handled under that provider's own privacy and security policies. Bar W Bahr does not store your full card number, CVV, or card PIN on our servers.

6. How We Share Information

• Other users — when you publish a listing, information you choose to display (such as your name and contact number) may be visible to other users who wish to buy or sell items, and buyers and sellers may contact each other directly (including via phone or WhatsApp).
• Service providers — we share information with vendors who help us operate the App, such as Firebase (push notifications and infrastructure) and payment gateways (MyFatoorah, Tap, Upayments), solely to provide their services to us.
• Legal & safety — we may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or a valid request from Kuwaiti authorities, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bar W Bahr, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Notifications

We send push notifications about listing approvals, expirations and updates, account and security alerts, and promotions or offers. You can manage optional notification preferences from within the App's settings; mandatory system and security notifications cannot be disabled.

8. Device Permissions

You can change or withdraw these permissions at any time from your device's system settings. Doing so may limit certain features of the App (e.g., you won't be able to upload photos to a listing).

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including secure, encrypted local storage for session credentials on your device — to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & correction — you can review and update your profile information directly within the App.
• Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email below.
• Notification preferences — you can manage optional notifications in the App's settings.
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, though this may affect your ability to use certain features.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it.

13. International Users

The App is operated primarily for users in the State of Kuwait. If you access the App from outside Kuwait, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Kuwait or other countries where our service providers (such as Firebase and our payment gateways) operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
